I’ve been at Truman State for over a decade, first as an academic advisor in the Center for Academic Excellence (2012), then as Director of Retention (2019), Director of Retention and Student Success (2020), Assistant Vice President of Student Success and Institutional Effectiveness (2022), and now Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (2023).
A musician by training, I hold a B.A. in Music from Truman State and an M.Mus. in Performance from the University of New Mexico. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
My hobbies include reading, writing about productivity and personal development, writing code (I’m slowly getting better), permaculture gardening, roasting coffee, and performing with the band Deadwood. My wife Sarah and I have two daughters.
